So the clocks went back last weekend and we’re into doom and gloom now until March, dark before work, dark on the way home (it was dark before 4 pm last night!) so perfect for hiding indoors and sewing! This last week I managed to get my November blocks from the Rainbow Triangle BOM done, along with the first couple of what looks like it will be a shoal of Folksy Fish. I also got a load of photos taken for an exciting new venture that will launch next week – keep an eye out on Monday! Outside of sewing, I spent Saturday scaling the walls of our local climbing centre, which is an old converted church. I haven’t had the chance to go in ages, but one of the girls from the gym wanted to go, so we had a fun afternoon there and are hoping to make it a monthly event – it also showed that all the weights we’ve been lifting in the gym made my arms much stronger than they had been when I climbed previously!
Finishes This Week:

In Progress This Week:
Here are the Rainbow Triangle BOM blocks – next month we sew them all together! I think I’m going to need to take them along to Killearn to lay them all out though because I know I have at least 1 oopsie in there (since I have 2 of the remaining 4 setting triangles of the same colour!)
I bought the Folksy Fish pattern from Sarah at No Hats Quilts a couple of years ago, but finally decided now was the time to start actually making them, so I spent Saturday night cutting out all the patterns, then I started sewing (with apologies for gloomy night photos)
To Be Worked On This Week:
- More fish
- Whatever I dig out of the bag at Killearn on Saturday
What are you guys up to? Anything fun?
I have long loved those fish. Looking forward to following your progress, as mine have yet to start. And may never as I do not like paper piecing. So I will live vicariously!
