So this weekend was all about getting my hair cut and filling in my tax return. Much as I loathe the tediousness of telling HMRC how much money I lost, the bit that always makes me giggle is the question ‘Were you party to one or more tax avoidance schemes?’ Because obviously there’ll be a queue of people answering yes to that one! Also, I can never work out how I end up owing them around £1 each year ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ On the plus side, my reward for filling it in arrived in the shape of a bundle of rainbow goodness from Alison Glass. This coming weekend I’ll be working all weekend, so don’t expect anything great next week either! On the plus side, I have scheduled in my My Supersized Small World in for quilting in a few weeks, I can’t wait!
Finishes This Week:
You’re having a laugh!
In Progress This Week:
I fused loads of interfacing and interlining to bag parts, and took zero photos of them because it wasn’t very interesting!
So here’s a photo of my Alison Glass, which I’m currently pondering a use for (along with the rest of my AG rainbow):

To Be Worked On This Week:
- Day job boring stuff
- Maybe prepping a few more bag parts…
Have a great week all!
You know, it’s funny, I spent Monday (which was a holiday for me) finishing cutting out some pouch parts and fusing lining and fleece to the various pieces. I didn’t feel like I made much progress, but I guess it was necessary and will get me further along!
I wish I could end up with a tax bill of one pound (or euro or dollar). It seems that no matter what my husband and I do, how little we make, we always owe more. It IS curious who they think they’re going to catch out admitting they’ve conspired with tax avoidance schemes on their very tax form!!!
I defnitely think there should be a tax allowance against fabric . Especially for websites were you have your total than all of a sudden VAT jumps on top .
