Well as predicted I got hardly any sewing done in the last crazy week, but I did sing my little heart out at Celtic Connections all weekend and yesterday I got drilled and filled at the dentist in the morning and twisted and tweaked by the physio in the afternoon, I’m just hanging on until Friday then I have a day off all to myself! Saturday I’m hitting the rugby (although after last weekend I hope this isn’t going to be another car crash of a game) Next Monday and Tuesday are going to be the best fun on the sewing front though, I’m going down to see Cath, aka Cumbrian Long Arm Quilter, and taking My Supersized Small World for some super special treatment that we’ve been planning, so hopefully I’ll have a bit more to show you next week!

Finishes This Week:

Err, no.

In Progress This Week:

I got a little sewing done this week, literally, this is a 4 1/2″ finished quilt block! When perusing options for my Alison Glass stash I was inspired by Kitty Wilkin, aka Night Quilter, and her rainbow 100 days blocks from last year. I won’t be making 100, nor even doing them in 100 days, but the idea of a rainbow of small blocks was appealing, and I have a very special setting planned for them when I get to the end. In the meantime, here’s block 1!

To Be Worked On This Week:

  • Maybe a few more small rainbow blocks
  • Hopefully even a bit of bag making on Friday
  • My Supersized Small World
  • Washing, unless I want to go to work and the gym naked next week…

Have a fabulous week all!
