Well I have been thoroughly thwarted by the weather this week. The sun has shone on work day and it’s poured at the weekend, but with the sun has come a howling gale, so I still haven’t been able to get photos of My Supersized Small World, nor my Trinket quilt top *sigh* Fingers crossed for Saturday and some good quilt wrestlers in Killearn! I did get on with a little pattern testing for a friend though, as well as a few more blocks for my 90 Blocks project whilst it poured at the weekend.
On Monday I took advantage of my Quilt Guild membership and booked my very first Festival Of Quilts tickets – I’ll be doing Speed Date With Improv on the Thursday, plus Steampunk Crazy Quilts and Map Fragments Quick & Easy workshops on the Friday. I also entered my first quilt with My Supersized Small World (go big or go home!) I’ll be attending Thursday/Friday/Sunday at the moment, with the intention of wandering round Birmingham with my camera on the Saturday if the weather’s good, as I haven’t been there in years, and there’s some rather fabulous funky architecture sprung up since I was last there. Are any of you going?
Finishes This Week:
Nope
In Progress This Week:
This is the result of my pattern testing so far. I hope to have a pouch or 3 by the end of the week…

Here’s the next 15 blocks for my 90 Blocks project, which brings me up to 45 done, 45 to go – I think the one 2nd from the left on the 3rd row took about as long as at least 3 of the others to make o.O (bear in mind that these are 4 1/2″ finished)

To Be Worked On This Week:
- Finishing my pattern testing
- Maybe a few more of the 90 blocks
- Who knows what may pass by my machine at Killearn!
Hope you have a great week all!
I’m afraid the additional ticket “across the pond” makes that quilt show out of my reach for now, but I’m envying you those classes. Good luck with the weather. Yesterday we were near 80F and today we have a blizzard warning. Spring is a bit fickle.
