I had a lovely, relaxing long weekend, working on (and nearly finishing) a bag, listening to a great book (The 7 Husbands Of Evelyn Hugo – don’t be put off by the cover/title, it isn’t a sleazy romance) and popping over to visit my gran on Monday. I totally needed the long weekend with nothing particular to do – I hope you all had a lovely weekend too!
Finishes This Week:
Alas, none
In Progress This Week:
I’m 99% done with this bag, but the lining hasn’t been joined to the outer, hence it looks a wee bit peculiar at the moment (I just shoved it inside, I’ll sew it in later on I hope) I haven’t quite decided whether the fabric choices are fabulous or a hot mess, but I’m glad I actually used some of this vintage Melody Miller fabric.

This is my latest 90 blocks project contribution (remind me why 4 1/2″ finished seemed a sensible block size?!):

To Be Worked On This Week:
- Finish that bag
- Some more 90 block project
Have a great week all!
I keep returning to the photos of the bag noting all of the details and being someone who makes bags I am very impressed with the whole thing. The fussy cutting so the fabrics are best displayed, the type writer centered between the straps the phone on the side pocket :^) Great job!
Quilt blocks at 4 1/2″ finished is never a good idea. 6 1/2″ is much better ;o)
Love the new bag – very fun with the fabrics you chose!
