‘Tis the season to be panic sewing, fa la la la la la la la la. With a week to go until the big man drops by, how’s it going in your house? My sewing plans went somewhat awry with the rotator cuff challenges and last week I might have accidentally got caught up at the pub on a Christmas night out with my colleagues until after midnight rather than writing this post (sorry about that!), but I have been slowly plodding along making a few bits and pieces. I do hate how little daylight there is at this time of year, especially when it comes to taking photos of what I’ve been working on (that and the fact that my favourite lens has been in for repair for a month waiting on backordered parts, meaning that I’m struggling a little to get a good pic in the dark with a weird lens length)
If I don’t see/speak to you before the big day, have a great Christmas and New Year, and I’ll see you on the other side!
Finishes This Week:
This wee dude was in my secret Santa swap last Saturday at Killearn in the triangle pouch from previous posts, along with a mini version of my pincushion cube that I totally failed to get a photo of:

In Progress This Week:
I signed up for a pouch swap on IG being run by @gogokim and @sewhungryhippie It’s due to be sent out in January, but I’ve started work on it already to give my left arm its best chance. This is the initial fabric pull – not that much, right? ;o) It’s not a secret swap, and my partner has already approved this (she’s so trusting, she has no idea what I’m making!)

I’m also working on a cushion cover with some accidental loop yarn (which is the yarn you get when you order one colour way and the shop has a picking error and sends you completely the wrong colour, which won’t do at all for the intended recipient of the project, but tells you that you don’t need to return the incorrect stuff) I haven’t got a photo of it, so you’ll just have to trust me that it’s nearly done!
To Be Worked On This Week:
- Finishing the cushion cover
- Finishing the pouch
- Tackling a small mound of project ideas that I’ve rediscovered and ones that have been percolating
Have a great week all!
