I’ve been all at sixes and sevens this week! I was back at work last Thursday, but I still haven’t quite wrapped my head around what day it is (which is why this is so late today!) and I’ve been catching up on getting orders over the Christmas break out along with my Holiday Hangover Swap pouch. Then a lovely friend offered me a break in Switzerland at the end of the month and I might have got a wee bit distracted by that.
I hope you had a lovely break and that Santa was good to you all, plus were able to get some sewing in at some point! This weekend I’ll be meeting up with the Killearn ladies for a little light chat and sewing.
Finishes This Week:
This is my swap pouch (the koala is by Sew Quirky, who’s currently donating 100% of the sales of this pattern to the WIRES Wildlife Rescue) I might have gone a smidge overboard, with silver washable paper, cork, 3 types of vinyl, a lame zip and some quilting cotton for the pouch, and then I miniaturised some of my retreat sewing patterns to create a mini pincushion cube, small rolled up design board, small ironing mat and a needle book. As well as some extra sewing notions, not picture below are the sweet treats.

In Progress This Week:
I’ve been planning a tracker quilt for this year, inspired by Kitty Wilkin who’s planing one to track her running. I’ll be tracking my miles walked and then the heaviest of each of the dumbbells, kettlebells and barbells I lift in the day. I’m thinking this will be from my Alison Glass stash, but I need to track another couple of weeks just to confirm the colour ranges are going to work before I start cutting (the pic below is from a while ago but it doesn’t seem to have diminished much, even several quilts after I started!)

To Be Worked On This Week:
- Chopping up some fabric to give myself a project to work on in Switzerland
- Who knows what else will cross my cutting table!
Fully expect you to show up in a hand sewn dirndl, with flowers in your hair, ready to burst into song on an Alpine meadow while eating unreasonable quantities of cheese, perfectly on time. 😉
