Well hasn’t that weather been crazy lately! Several times over the past week I was pelted (rather painfully I should add) with enormous hailstones, I’ve been drenched, snowed upon and just about managed to avoid blowing away, but on the plus side, at least that meant I could stay inside and sew without too much guilt. I finished quilting the platypus and then took him over to my gran’s to start burying eleventy billion thread ends (yeah, that dense quilting seemed like such a good idea until I looked at the ends!) and to admire her newly installed downstairs loo (for which she was banished to respite care for a week while the council came in to do the work) I also watched the rugby, but let’s not talk about that…

In Progress This Week:
Here’s my bouncing baby platypus, post-quilting, pre-binding. All I could say about the thread burying is that magic loop is fabulous, and I have a video here if you want to see how I saved my sanity.
I wavered between the 2 binding options below, but have decided on the Crocus, on the left:

This little lot is now cut up into pouch pieces, and ready to be assembled ready for this weekend’s miserable weather sewing:

To Be Worked On This Week:
- Binding the Beast
- Pouch assembly
Hope you all have a fabulous week!
that little guy (gal?) is so adorable!
