Phew, I feel like I’ve spent the past couple of weeks just prepping to sew things (hence no update last week because there wasn’t much tangible to see!) Anyway, given the dump of snow we’ve had in the past couple of days, it’s safe to say I won’t be venturing far for a while, so once I’ve finished building my birthday Lego Landrover Defender (started last night) I’ll get on with the actual sewing of the 12 different items I cut all the fabric, interfacing, interlining, zips, velcro, vinyl and mesh for, then quilted, fused, applied zippers as relevant. I also found a bunch more flower patterns to add to my flower quilt.
How’s life treating you these days? Are you prepping/sewing up a storm or just hunkering down from the storm of life right now? I’m struggling to concentrate for any long periods of time on anything, but I’m not beating myself up about it. Instead I’m cooking at weekends (that banh xeo was totally worth the wait in the end), listening to audio books and flitting about a bit between projects of an evening.
Finishes This Week:
Nope
In Progress This Week:
I know this probably doesn’t look like much as a photo taken from on high, but if I tell you those widest bits are 20″, that might give you a bit of scale! This is all 12 items anyway, and if I never have to cut another thing for a while I’ll be good!

This is a pile of flower patterns to be cut out too:

To Be Worked On This Week:
- Finishing the Lego Landrover
- Making a Penang Curry and maybe even some Tom Kha Gai
- Start sewing those things together
Have a great week all!
