Phew it’s been a busy few weeks at the day job, so busy in fact that last week I was convinced it was Monday on Tuesday (apparently the horrendous Monday I’d actually had temporarily blotted itself from my mind and I started the week over) and then on Wednesday I thought it was Tuesday (you can see where this is going) and I realised I’d forgotten to WIP Wednesday until Thursday, so anyway, this week I know what day it is (at least I do right now ;o) )
Anywho, I have been sewing some things at the weekends, albeit a more slowly due to wrist twinges and also the need to just decompress a bit (see paragraph 1) I’ve done most of my ‘have to’ sewing now, and am hoping to get all of it done within the next few weeks (the bonus long Easter weekend will no doubt help!) although I am working this weekend so we’ll see, since I’m notoriously bad at estimating how long things will take! I do have a carrot dangling in the form of a shiny new idea I had for a quilt which I get to start work on when I’m done everything else. I also have a chat with friends scheduled for Saturday during some non working time, so that will be nice, and maybe they’ll do a virtual sharp pointy stick to encourage me to sew faster…
Finishes This Week:
Well, this was the last couple of weeks. Firstly, this toiletry bag by Just Jude Designs for an Instagram challenge I’m doing this month:

Then for this week’s challenge we were using the Applique Birds Pattern 2 from Jo Avery, so I picked a couple of them (there are 4 in the pack) and used them on another pouch which will be a gift for a friend:

In Progress This Week:
These are now less in bits and much more in constituent parts:

To Be Worked On This Week:
- Keep on keeping on with the making of the eleventy million projects
- Having a lovely virtual sewing session with friends on Saturday
- Preserving the last tenuous fibres of my sanity to survive to the Easter weekend
Have a great week all!
