October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and as part of that, ByAnnie has come up with the Breast Cancer Initiative, which you can read all about here.
For my part in the blog hop I made the large version of ByAnnie’s Out And About Bag, the perfect size handbag for those of us who can’t be doing with traditional handbags and can’t fit everything in their pockets. This is one of the patterns that comes with a set of video tutorials to walk you through the various stages just in case you’re more of a visual person than a written instructions person, just enter the code you find inside your pattern.

Win A Stiletto & Pressing Tool
This pattern is loaded with pockets made using fabric, mesh and foldover elastic, and one of my favourite tools to use when bag making is the ByAnnie’s Stiletto & Pressing Tool, which holds everything in place as it slides under the needle, even the slippery elastic and stretchy mesh:

You can enter to win a By Annie Stiletto & Pressing Tool of your own if you leave me a comment telling me either which pattern you would like to use it for from ByAnnie.com OR tell me a resource you’ve found useful for breast cancer information that is not in this post. Entries close at midnight 01/11/21.

I’d use the stiletto tool to make the Get Out of Town Duffle II…a pattern I’ve admired for a long time and I know it would be so useful for short traveling days!
I’d use the stiletto for the Glo & Go makeup bags set.
Thank you for helping to bring awareness to this terrible disease.
My husband lost his mother to breast cancer when he was only 20, and I’ve known several other women who’ve been touched by breast cancer.
I’m starting Out and About (for me) and a Take a Stand for my sister.
I love the ByAnnie patterns. Her bags are amazing! Her SewPink initiative is also amazing. I have been part of it every year and love the tips, the wonderful people who donate their time to show ways and ideas to make things a little bit easier. I typically use the end of some scissors or a chop stick to do what the stiletto will do. This seems to be an amazing tool. I lost a very close friend of mine, who at that age of 39, had fought breast cancer for 10 years. She left behind 3 small children and a bunch of friends and family who still miss her today.
This stiletto would be great to work around the many corners of Annie’s ‘I’ll Drink to That’
I would use it to make the Train Case or the Catch All Caddy. I want to make both of them
I would use the stiletto to make the Take a Stand bag and also to help me with quilt binding.
I’d use the stiletto for Room with a View ‘boxes’. I’m in the midst of making Divide and Conquer, so I’d hope to have it finished soon. I love your back pack!
Once I finish the byAnnie bag I’m making right now, I will start on an Under Cover for my sewing machine. I love her bags.
Love the out and about bag. Bew to by Annie loving the website anf using the soft & stable for the first time. There is some very clever people out there!
