Whew, it’s been a while, but the whole chrisboxnewyear thingy was all a bit time consuming, especially when I couldn’t share makes beforehand as they were pressies (and I also kept forgetting to get photos in daylight). Anyway, I hope you all had a lovely set of festivities if you were celebrating, and a happy new year to you all. This year I want to explore more artwork and paper craft/book making, and of course I have a mile high pile of quilty-sewy projects, how about you, what are your crafty goals this year?

Finishes This… Whatever

Up first was a December birthday present, a large Retreat Bag using a set of templates I picked up at FOQ a few years ago for the VW van for a travel loving friend:

Then there were Christmas pressies – first a handmade notebook (on the right) and a wee expandable pockety thing for storing treasures (on the left and below separately, end on)

Next is an Everything In Its Place case I made for mum, which matches the case I made her last year for her crochet hooks etc (please excuse the extremely dodgy photo setup in my gran’s porch on Boxing Day):

And here’s the bag I made for dad. He requested a second one for his birthday this week, which I finished last night:

Then on New Year’s Day I made this wee guy, just for fun:

In Progress This Week:

I have cut a bunch of flannel squares, that I didn’t get a photo of (to be fair, a pile of flannel squares doesn’t look that exciting) It’s going to be one of my usual 100″ jobs though, and I’m still working out how/where I can lay them out to work out the order (I’m afraid my OCD will not let me go random, there must be some logic!)

I’ve got a couple more cases in progress in colours other than green, like the one above, which I’d like to finish.

To Be Worked On This Week

  • Other cases
  • Flannel wrestling
  • Possibly some paper folding

Have a great week all!
