Today's #sew365projectlt flower, and I'm definitel Today's #sew365projectlt flower, and I'm definitely at the stage of needing to decide how I'm going to sew these together and also what I'm going to do about the stems, as this daff is looking a little pathetic!

Today's adventures in felt for the #sew365projectl Today's adventures in felt for the #sew365projectlt turned out to be more of a rosebud than a full flower, but that's okay, variety is good!

Today's floral experiment for my #sew365projectlt Today's floral experiment for my #sew365projectlt (while waiting for the PVA to try stiffening the other flower) was the first of my big printed out pattern flowers. I love the size this rose came up, and I can see a bunch more of these in my future. Next pic is for scale against one of my wee 'cherry blossoms'

So for the #sew365projectlt today I tried going ba So for the #sew365projectlt today I tried going back to the problem Sizzix die from the other day. I think the main problem is that the felt's flat, so I need to work out how to curl it like the paper in the image on the die cover.

Has anyone got any experience trying to mould acrylic or polyester felt? I've found suggestions for stiffener made from a PVA glue solution, but I'm not sure whether to apply it, let it dry, then cut and shape it, or to put pieces already cut into the solution, then mould it as it dries - thoughts?

This year I'm taking part in a fun Old School BOM This year I'm taking part in a fun Old School BOM led by @persimondreams who has posted the first block on her blog today. Pop on over to her profile to see how to make this block 😊
They're breeding! Before I forgot my cherry bloss They're breeding! Before I forgot my cherry blossom idea for my #sew365projectlt I thought I'd better get on and make them all, so I spent a little time yesterday and today getting that done. Now to work out what trim to use for the branch...

Oh how I would love to have been able to get up there in the latest snowy cold snap - I guess there's always next year... #rannochmoor #lochannahachlaise #scotland #uk #migrationmonday #migrationmondaylt #travelphotography #canon7dmkii #mycanon #canonuk
So as expected from yesterday's #sew365projectlt p So as expected from yesterday's #sew365projectlt post, the flowers from the die with the 3 variations came out tiny, but I think I might do a bunch of the two with the pointy petals and make a cherry blossom stem.

The other die nearly went out the window today - it's on the packaging and the website description that you can make 2 kinds of flower from the die, but there are literally no instructions anywhere, not in the packaging, not on the @sizzix site, not on their YouTube channel (although there's a fuzzy video where someone is trying to use it as part of another project, but even she doesn't seem to know what to do as she kind of makes something up). I spent a couple of hours searching and am quite pissed off. I get that regular flat dies don't really need instructions, but the 3D ones definitely do!

Alison Glass is gearing up to do another Trinket s Alison Glass is gearing up to do another Trinket sew along this year so she's suggested we do a #trinketquiltshow2021 for inspiration. This is my finished top, which still isn't quilted because I wanted to do a double sided quilt with slide 2 (the rainbow triangle BOM) and I was waiting to get to the big hall at Killearn to do the basting. Unfortunately things have rather got in the way of that, but I'll get there eventually!
Another couple of Sizzix dies have arrived for my Another couple of Sizzix dies have arrived for my #sew365projectlt (this should be the last of the supplies now!). I think the one on the left will produce tiny flowers in comparison to others I'm planning, so I might try scanning in each cut and blowing them up for bigger ones.
