Description
This bag was originally designed for a friend of mine, Terri McVeigh, for her to take with her to the hospital while she was undergoing treatment for cancer. Originally diagnosed with breast cancer, Terri fought the good fight for several years before eventually succumbing to secondary cancers. On her version of this bag I had used fabric ink to stamp a few of my thoughts on cancer. I had thought she would keep them hidden as our wee joke, but I later learned that for every trip to the hospital she deliberately turned it inside out to show everyone else that was having treatment too, so now you know that this is almost a reversible bag!
The bag is designed to have a floppy, fold-over top, which can have either a snap or zip closure. The strap can be fixed or adjustable, and there is the option to add piping to the 2 outside pockets.
This pattern was originally offered with a special discount code as part of the #SewPink blog hop with ByAnnie.com in October 2019, however if you can send me a screenshot showing that you have made a donation to a cancer charity of your choice of at least £5, I will refund you what you have paid for this pattern. Evidence to be sent to the.littlest.thistle@gmail.com along with a copy of your receipt for the pattern.
