With it’s metal guide up the centre of the foot, this low shank ‘stitch in the ditch’ foot allows you to follow a seam with ease, making it less likely you find your stitches wandering around outside the seam, or ditch, they are meant to be in. It is also useful for understitching, in case you ever find yourself meandering into dressmaking as well as quilting.
