After a day of chores and making a mahoosive batch After a day of chores and making a mahoosive batch of bolognese sauce, I'm going to be working on more of my puff quilt tonight as part of the #saturdaynightcraftalong with @charmaboutyou

I've got all the empty rows sewed together, so now I'm stuffing and joining them, starting from the bottom and working up.

15/20 rows for the puff quilt I've been working on 15/20 rows for the puff quilt I've been working on for the past 3 weeks. It will end at 20x20 puffs, so around 70" square, and I climbed up to my bale of bouncifil stuffing today to grab enough for the next stage in construction.

The stragglers from a bus load of Asian tourists t The stragglers from a bus load of Asian tourists take photos in front of the 'traditional' buildings on the Römerberg in the middle of Frankfurt. I say 'traditional' because Frankfurt, once the largest medieval city in Germany, suffered from terrible carpet bombing in World War II, with the USAF and the RAF dropping just over 27,000 metric tons of explosive on the city between 1942 and 1945, pretty much destroying its original medieval architecture as well as killing around 5,500 people. Initially post war reconstruction went for modern architecture (and apparently a good deal of concrete), but by the 1970's the residents of Frankfurt were looking to get back some of what they'd lost. In fact these buildings here weren't constructed until the 1980s after a local vote on how to replace a concrete monstrosity. Across the square from this is the Römer, which has been in use as the city hall since the 15th century, and which was restored somewhat more lovingly post war.
